Description
"New LISN / Line Impedance Stabilization Network Common Mode Interface Module"for
Interface Module for EMC Conductive Measurement
Description:
- Measuring the common mode (CM) Interference signals / EMC from the DUT
- Module covers the frequency range from 9KHz-400MHz
- Connection with measuring receiver / spectrum analyzer.
Attenuator / Limiter
( not supplied ) may be needed to prevent from damage to this module and test equipment
- Extract the common mode components, and provide direction for the design and rectification of the filter. What frequency band needs to use the common mode filter, at least how many dB need to be attenuated and which frequency points need filtering.
Major Specifications:
- Dimensions: 38 (L) X 29(W) X 18(H)mm.

The data tested in a third-party laboratory can be seen that the interference is mainly before 10MHz.
With the LISN, power supply, 12V1A is connected to a 12 ohm load, and the test frequency range is from 9 KHz to 10 MHz. The disturbance on the L line is as follows:
Then use this common mode /CM module to extract the common mode signal:
By using the image processing software to superimpose the above two pictures. For convenience of explanation, the red line is used to outline the disturbance contour on the L line. The common mode signal uses green lines. The difference between the red and green lines is the differential mode disturbance:
Obviously, CM and DM interference are co-exist when below 1MHz where DM is the major.
Whereas, CM and DM are also co-exist above 1MHz. However, CM becomes the major.
